This workshop equips educators with strategies to develop students’ writing stamina and foster greater independence in writing tasks. Participants explore the components of the "writing rope"—a model that illustrates the interconnected strands of skilled writing—and how each element contributes to fluent, purposeful writing. Teachers will learn how to scaffold instruction to help students effectively use text evidence and sustain effort through longer, more complex writing assignments. Practical tools, resources, and classroom-ready activities will be shared to ensure immediate implementation and ongoing support for diverse learners.

1. Building Writing Stamina Through Structured Practice
   Educators will learn how to design and deliver instructional routines that gradually build students’ writing endurance. This includes techniques for goal-setting, pacing, and sustained focus during writing tasks.
