Instructional Strategist
Monique Owens-Grady is an Instructional Strategist who works with teachers and administrators to improve student outcomes.
Monique believes in a learner-centered approach. It is important to meet students’ needs and develop their interests. It is also important for her to foster engagement through discussions and collaboration.
Monique is a certified K-8 teacher with a Master of Arts in Teaching. She has supported her former school district by facilitating various professional development sessions of unpacking the curriculum and Comprehension Conversations. Monique has also served as her school’s testing coordinator for all District and State assessments. This position gave her an in-depth look at the complexities and requirements of the needed skills and knowledge for student success of the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment.
When she is not in the classroom, Monique enjoys reading and traveling across the world visiting schools to improve her pedagogy.
