Providing Better Quality Instructional Feedback

Participants will enhance their ability to provide meaningful and timely feedback to students by analyzing classroom videos, sharpening their critique skills, and refining their instructional feedback techniques for improved student learning outcomes.

This workshop aims to equip educators with effective strategies for delivering high-quality instructional feedback that actively promotes student learning. Participants will examine the characteristics of effective feedback, including clarity, timeliness, actionability, constructiveness, student involvement, and verification. Through reflection on personal experiences, educators will assess the quality and effectiveness of their current feedback practices. Additionally, participants will engage in activities designed to enhance their abilities to provide specific, actionable feedback, ultimately fostering students’ self-efficacy and academic improvement.
