This dynamic, interactive workshop deepens educators’ understanding of performance-based teaching and assessment. Participants begin by identifying the key attributes of performance-based approaches, then explore how to design and implement classroom-embedded performance tasks that mirror authentic, real-world applications. Activities focus on guiding students to investigate, collect data, problem-solve, and present findings, fostering higher-order thinking and applied learning. By the end, teachers will leave with a toolkit of strategies and resources they can immediately apply to strengthen instruction and help students master essential 21st-century skills.
