Elevating Student Voice and Choice

Participants will gain practical strategies to authentically incorporate student voice and choice into their teaching practices, fostering meaningful and self-directed learning experiences.

This workshop is designed to empower educators with strategies to create student-centered classrooms that prioritize learner agency. Through a blend of practical techniques and reflective exercises, participants explore how to give students a meaningful role in shaping their educational experiences. The session covers how to incorporate student voice and choice in learning processes, physical learning environments, collaborative work, and inquiry-based learning. Educators also examine the foundational cultural elements required to support student autonomy and engagement.
