Differentiating for Multilingual Learners

Participants will learn the importance of differentiation for Multilingual Learners, explore assessment practices and feedback strategies, observe instructional practices in action through videos, and leave with a plan for differentiating their own upcoming lessons.

This workshop equips educators with the knowledge and tools necessary to meet the diverse needs of multilingual learners (MLs) in the general education classroom. Participants explore the importance of differentiation in supporting academic achievement and language development. The session includes a deep dive into assessment practices, the use of the "assessment loop," and strategies for delivering tailored feedback. Through instructional videos, real classroom examples, and planning templates, educators develop an actionable plan for integrating differentiation into upcoming lessons.

  3. Creating Actionable Plans for ML Support
