Conducting Walkthroughs with Purpose, Focus, and Meaning

Participants will develop the tools, strategies, and confidence to lead impactful, goal-aligned classroom walkthroughs.

This workshop equips administrators with the tools to make classroom walkthroughs more purposeful and impactful. Participants begin by reviewing the purpose and value of walkthroughs and identifying the hallmarks of rigorous, standards-aligned instruction. They then create a customized walkthrough checklist that reflects their instructional goals and leadership priorities. Through practice walkthroughs, reflection, and collaborative dialogue, administrators refine their checklists and develop strategies to provide meaningful feedback to teachers that drive instructional growth.
