This professional development workshop is designed to support educators in understanding and implementing the New Jersey’s English Language Arts Student Learning Standards (ELA NJSLS). Participants explore the framework, domain layout that prioritizes foundational language skills. The session models and engages educators in standards-aligned activities across reading, writing, speaking/listening, and language, with emphasis on rigor, clarity, and progression across grade levels. Educators will also examine new expectations around equity, digital literacy, and interdisciplinary connections, and receive resources for immediate classroom application
