Susan (Sue) Schutt is an educational consultant who works with administrators and teachers to develop best practices in instruction, curriculum and assessment design, student achievement, social and emotional learning, and school culture & climate.
Sue knows that students achieve best when engaged in authentic learning with caring adults; when they’re met where they are; and when we build from their strengths.
Sue has extensive experience in urban education. In addition, she has a long history as a progressive educator, using restorative practices, inquiry-based learning, and performance-based assessment practices. Finally, she has spent many years working on developing and supporting greater student agency in schools.
When she is not consulting, Sue can be found outdoors enjoying nature and fine weather. You also might catch her at home cooking or honing her arts skills
