Kathie Cigich is an expert facilitator who works with educators and school leadership teams to enhance instructional practices and foster professional growth through evidence-based professional development and instructional coaching as well as strategic mentorship.
Kathie knows that at the heart of every instructional strategy is the profound opportunity to ignite a student’s potential, a belief that has guided her work through more than three decades in the classroom and beyond. She is committed to equipping educators with practical, sustainable tools that honor their expertise while elevating student achievement across the school community.
Kathie has worked at nearly every level of the educational ecosystem, from veteran classroom teacher to IB MYP Coordinator, garnering a wealth of insight into what truly makes a school thrive. By leveraging her 32 years of expertise, she has supported diverse teaching teams in mapping rigorous curricula and implementing inquiry-based learning, ensuring that high-level IB standards translate into engaging, day-to-day classroom success. She has garnered a reputation for transforming complex pedagogical frameworks into actionable strategies that empower both teachers and students.
When she is not working with educators, Kathie can be found on the golf course, at the gym for a high-energy muscle class, or immersed in a new painting. She also enjoys the strategy and connection of a good game of Mahjongg and cherishes quality time spent with her husband.
