Jenie Vargas has been an education specialist and instructional coach for twenty-two years; before consulting, she taught students in grades pre-k through 8th grade and served as a district program specialist and supervisor. Jenie has worked with educators, administrators, related service providers, and parents to provide targeted professional development. 

Jenie believes that meeting the needs of all learners is at the heart of education, and when students with learning differences succeed, all students succeed. She is committed to helping educators and parents glow and grow to meet the needs of all students. 

She works with students with exceptionalities, including students with disabilities, English language learners, and gifted students. She has a master's degree in special education and educational leadership as well as teaching, education specialists, and administrative certificates in New Jersey and California. Jenie is trained in various methods to help support all learners, including Orton-Gillingham techniques, Guided language acquisition strategies, multisensory reading and writing strategies, STEM education, and alternative assessments.  In addition to facilitating and writing workshops, she has extensive knowledge in curriculum review and writing using state standards and Essential Elements. Her breadth of experience includes writing world language, language arts, and special education curricula.

When Jenie is not consulting, she works as a part-time supervisor of curriculum and instruction and enjoys being a parent volunteer at her daughters' school. She also enjoys traveling to new countries with her husband and daughter to experience new cultures and see new sights.
