Prior to consulting, Jenie taught students in grades pre-k through 8th grade, and served as a district program specialist. She specializes in working with students with exceptionalities, including students with disabilities, gifted students, and English language learners. She has a master’s degree in special education and educational leadership, as well as teaching and administrative certificates in New Jersey and California. Jenie is trained in a variety of methods to help support all learners, including the Orton-Gillingham methods, guided language acquisition strategies, multisensory reading and writing strategies, STEM education, and alternative assessments. In addition to facilitating and writing workshops, she also has extensive knowledge in curriculum review and writing using state standards and Essential Elements.
