Enhancing Active Learning Using Technology

Active learning is the process of engaging students as participants in their own learning.

Active learning is the process of engaging students as participants in their own learning. Free online technology tools can be used to extend proven active learning strategies. This can't be more relevant than in our current environment. To explore the connection between technology, active learning, and teaching, workshop participants focus on the application of technology tools to enhance active learning strategies, including collaborative learning apps, online whiteboards, screencasting, as well as easy formative assessment tools. Participants will explore the various tools, have time to ask troubleshooting questions and make a plan to incorporate these tools into their lessons for immediate implementation.
