Creating a K-8 Family STEM Program

If you are considering creating a family STEM program in your school or district, then this is the workshop for you! This workshop reviews every step in creating a family STEM program, from identifying the program coordinators and creating activities, to promoting the event, setting it up, and evaluating it after. During each stage, participants will complete a "STEM Family Program" plan that provides them with step-by-step directions for starting their own. In order to better select activities, participants will explore thematic approaches to family STEM in order to broaden their understanding and narrow their plans. This is a fun and pragmatic workshop that will help every educator plan for success in STEM.
