Better Attitude=Higher Achievement (for Administrators)

Participants will focus on how administrators can improve teacher instruction by first improving their attitude toward teachers.

This workshop begins with a discussion about the definition of “attitude” and how attitude (both the overall attitude permeating the school culture to the attitude found in the classrooms) is crucial to high student achievement. For the achievement gap to close, so must the attitude gap close first. Participants will focus on how administrators can improve teacher instruction by first improving their attitude toward teachers. Specifically, participants will take a deep dive into research to understand what factors contribute to different types of administrator-teacher relationships which impact students’ learning experiences. Using hands-on activities, videoclips and application, these revelations will empower the administrators to develop strategies for improved administrator-teacher relationships.
